Welcome to the web site of Cardiff University’s Active Ageing Research Group. This group, known as ‘Active Age’ for short, is a collaboration of researchers who want to promote the health, well-being and welfare of older people by conducting high quality research. Active Age is a multi-disciplinary group that brings together top researchers to conduct a wide variety of projects ranging from biomolecular studies of Alzheimer’s disease and the effect of our social and built environment on our wellbeing and cognition, to helping older people make decisions about their own medical care.
